They met playing in a band together years ago. Soon after they went rogue to follow a vision of their own. One of building a Family. Reincarnating an old Nostalgia. Playing through Romance. And nurturing the connection through Music. Thus, Joy’s Familiar was born.

Their shared appreciation of expansive vocal harmony, atypical chords, and rhythmic, mantra-like melodies creates an authentic, and heart-moving listening experience.

Julianne Marqua is a singer/songwriter, vocal and songwriting coach, and Executive Director of the 503C non-profit, iAM Music.

Joshua Hoffman is a singer/songwriter, and teaches vocals, guitar, and sound production.  He studied Classical Singing and Guitar in College, and is Owner of Sarvaa Organics Superfood Formulator.

With a combined 20 years of performance, touring, and events management, the duo of Joy’s Familiar is way more than your average bear.
